Which leather tote should you choose?

• Leather Tote ($120): the small one. Tan oiled leather with side ties and a tassel, an open top, twin handles and a crossbody strap that clips on. Carries like a handbag.
• Large Shoulder Tote ($150): our largest bag, with room for a laptop up to 16 inches and a tablet. Soft and unstructured, with a zip top, two angled zip pockets on the front, open pockets on both sides and a zip pocket on the back. Black or oxblood.
• Tote Bag ($180): soft pebbled leather with twin tan handles, a small snap at the top and a detachable crossbody strap. Holds a laptop or tablet up to 12 inches, a notepad and a phone. Light teal, blue, black or purple.
• Ostrich Tote ($780): genuine ostrich in a warm oxblood brown, with twin rolled handles and a long shoulder strap that clips on. One of a kind.
• Crocodile Tote with Orange Trim ($995): genuine crocodile in chocolate brown, structured enough to stand on its own, with orange handles, a padlock and key, and a chain shoulder strap. One of a kind.

Can a leather tote be your laptop bag?

Yes, if you pick by size. The Large Shoulder Tote takes a laptop up to 16 inches and a tablet beside it, and its zip top keeps them covered. The Tote Bag holds a laptop or tablet up to 12 inches, a notepad and a phone, and stays slouchy enough that it never looks like a briefcase. Open top or zip top?

An open tote is the fastest to reach into; a zip top is safer in a crowd or on a plane. The Leather Tote is open. The Large Shoulder Tote zips across the top, and the Tote Bag closes with a small snap at the top. The Crocodile Tote adds a padlock and key.

Keeping a leather tote in shape

A soft tote slouches when it's empty and fills out when it's full; that is how it's meant to look. To keep the corners from creasing for good, store it with a little paper inside, standing up rather than hanging from the handles, in a cotton bag or pillowcase. Wipe it with a dry cloth, condition it every few months, and let it air-dry if it gets wet. The ostrich and crocodile totes need a conditioner made for exotic skins.
