Executive Leather exotic skins

Exotic Handbags

Three genuine exotic handbags, and we have one of each: a black ostrich shoulder bag at $480, an oxblood-brown ostrich tote at $780, and a chocolate-brown crocodile tote with orange trim at $995. No two skins are marked alike, so each bag is the only one like it. They ship free anywhere in the U.S., or come and see them at our store in Wellington.

Ostrich or crocodile: how to tell them apart and choose

  • Ostrich: you can see and feel the raised quill bumps where the feathers grew. It is soft, it only gets softer with age, and in black the quills read as texture, so it goes with everything. Our Ostrich Shoulder Bag is a small crescent with a zip top for every day; the Ostrich Tote has twin rolled handles and room for a full day.
  • Crocodile: smooth rows of tiles running across the bag. It holds a firmer shape, and our Crocodile Tote stands on its own, with orange handles, a padlock and key, and a chain shoulder strap. It is the bag to pick when you want the bag to be the outfit.

A print or embossed bag has a pattern pressed into cowhide; the bags on this page are the real skins.

Caring for an ostrich or crocodile bag

Dust it with a soft, dry cloth after use. A few times a year, rub in a small amount of conditioner made for exotic skins, following the direction of the scales or quills. Keep it out of hot cars and direct sun, and if it gets wet, blot it gently and let it dry at room temperature. Store it in a cotton bag or pillowcase with paper inside so it keeps its shape. Never use mink oil or household oils.

Questions we get asked

Are these handbags real ostrich and crocodile?

Yes. Each one is the genuine skin named on it, and you're welcome to see and feel it at our Wellington store before you buy.

How much does an ostrich or crocodile handbag cost?

$480 for the Ostrich Shoulder Bag, $780 for the Ostrich Tote and $995 for the Crocodile Tote with Orange Trim, with free shipping in the U.S.

Can I return an exotic handbag?

Yes. Return it unused and in its original condition within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or store credit, with no restocking fee. Return postage is yours.

Why do exotic handbags cost more than cowhide?

Far fewer exotic skins are produced, each one is graded by hand, and a single scar can spoil a hide, so a skin clean enough for a whole bag is rare.
