A leather briefcase that holds your whole workday
Every briefcase here holds a laptop up to 16 inches, a tablet, a notepad and your phone at the same time, and each one has a shoulder strap you can take off when you carry it by hand. They're 100% leather, built to be carried every day, and they start firm and soften with use.
How to choose a leather briefcase
- Slim Laptop Briefcase ($140): the slimmest case, flat under an arm, twin handles on metal hardware, padded shoulder strap, outside zip and slip pockets.
- Pebbled Leather Briefcase ($140): pebbled grain hides everyday scuffs, zip pockets front and back, top grab handle and a webbing shoulder strap.
- Oiled Leather Briefcase ($140): oiled tan leather that lightens at every crease, flat handles riveted in brass, an adjustable leather strap.
- Contrast Stitch Briefcase ($140): structured black panels with contrast stitching on every edge, twin rolled handles.
- Alligator Briefcase ($1,100): genuine alligator belly in deep glossy black, a single flap over a turn lock and a rolled alligator handle. One of a kind.
Briefcase or messenger satchel?
A briefcase is carried by hand, with a strap for backup; a messenger satchel is made to be worn across the body. If you want to compare, see our Briefcases & Satchels page: the Flap and Buckle Messenger Satchels hold a laptop or tablet up to 12 inches, a notepad and a phone.
Caring for a leather briefcase
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and condition it every few months with a leather conditioner. If it gets wet, blot it and let it air-dry away from heat and direct sun. Don't overstuff it, and store it upright with a little paper inside so it keeps its shape. For the alligator briefcase, use a conditioner made for exotic skins, rubbed in the direction of the scales.
